What “Full Documentary”?

The April 3, 2016 posting about the Desert Monks and “Full Documentary” gives the impression that we are about to learn something new and very complete about the Ephraim monastery issue.

No such luck

Unless it’s hearing the actual voices of monks at the Arizona monastery praising the monastic life, there isn’t much new.  Most of the post is a repeat of the Russian-made video that was published last year which is basically a public relations film about Ephraim and the Arizona monastery, St. Anthony’s.

The truth is that critical questions have been raised about the Ephraim monastic development for some 15 years now. If the author had entered “Ephraim” in the search box of this website he would have found quite enough to give pause about presenting something labeled “Full Documentary”.  May I suggest that he do that search and also check out the websites, “We are Orthodox” and “GO Truth Reform?”
