Archpriest Giorgi Mamaladze sentenced to 9 years imprisonment

Archpriest Giorgi Mamaladze, charged for having attempted to poison a high-ranking clergyman with Cyanide, was imposed 9 years imprisonment based on the decision of Besik Bugianishvili, Judge of Tbilisi City Court.

Mamaladze was found guilty into so-called Cyanide Case on charge of plotting premeditated murder and illegal carrying of arms on vengeance motive. The trial into the case continued during 4 months. More than 100 witnesses were questioned. Archpriest did not attend announcement of the verdict.
