How Many Images of Child Pornography Are Out There?

If you ever wonder just how much child pornography there is out on the internet, just read about Donald Schmidt, 74, of Wichita, Kansas who recently pled guilty to collecting more than 3 million images of child pornography.

According to a Kansas City Star article, Schmidt admitted that he traded child pornography over the internet via a peer-to-peer network and that he had collected 3 million images in the process.

Doesn’t this make you wonder just how many images of child pornography are out there if one man can collect over 3 million of them?
