Charges Dropped Over Greek Monastery Land Scandal

ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Greek authorities have dropped charges against three former ministers over real estate deals involving a wealthy monastery, which turned into a major political scandal.

A council of judges on Tuesday found that the special statute of limitation that applies to politicians has expired.
