TWO brothers allegedly involved in a brawl outside the Downing Centre Court on Friday that left a senior constable bruised and with a torn suit have been granted bail.

Charlie Golossian, 30, and his brother David, 27, were arrested after victims had given evidence in court against their father, accused sex offender Tony Golossian.

David Golossian is alleged to have verbally assaulted two of the victims outside court and threatened one with death.

The court was told that Detective Senior Constable Jason Ferns had overheard the threatening remarks and told the brothers to stop their intimidating behaviour.

The Golossian brothers then allegedly physically assaulted the senior constable, prompting a second police officer to come to the aid of his colleague.

Mr Ferns was allegedly grabbed in a headlock by one of the brothers, while the wife of Tony Golossian, Emeline, allegedly threw punches at the officers. She had to be restrained by bystanders several times to stop her from entering the brawl.

The brothers were granted bail in Parramatta Bail Court on condition they stay away from Downing Centre Court until they have to appear for their own trial at the same location on April 12.
