E.Pa. priest charged with assaulting boy, 14

The 48-year-old Eastern Rite Catholic priest is charged with corruption of a minor and indecent assault. Police said the charges stem from events that allegedly occurred at the Our Lady of Solitude Retreat in Little Meadows in Susquehanna County.

A 14-year-old boy told police Ferrara forced him into having sexual contact at the retreat on three occasions starting late last year.

Ferrara was released on his own recognizance and is due in court on March 21.

He declined to comment after his arraignment Friday and a call to the retreat was not returned.
