Father Andrew L. J. James registered as a sex offender in the state of Michigan on February 16, 2010. James appears on the Michigan Sex Offender Registry under the name of Laurence Joseph James.
James was a priest in the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia in Columbus, Ohio, prior to his conviction in 2001 for the kidnapping and attempted rape of a 10 year old boy. He was released from prison on September 28, 2009.
