During the period of time when Bishop Nikolai Soraich was the ruling hierarch in the Diocese of Alaska, the Archangel Book Store in Sitka became a diocesan enterprise under the auspices of the Russian Orthodox Museum. Before that time, the shop had apparently supplied revenue to St. Michael the Archangel Cathedral, also in Sitka.
