A SYDNEY man has appeared in court accused of trying to smuggle child pornography into Australia from Thailand. If convicted, he faces a fine of $275,000 and up to 10 years’ imprisonment.
Rajko Dobre, 44, of Liverpool, Sydney, was charged with importing prohibited goods. Waverley Local Court was told eight DVDs containing child pornography were found in Dobre’s baggage at Sydney Airport, after he flew in from Bangkok on November 18. Bail was continued and the matter was adjourned until January 8.
