Supreme Court Denies Appeal of Former Priest

The state’s highest court has upheld the conviction of a former Greek Orthodox priest.

Adam Metropoulos, former leader of the St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Bangor, appealed the trial judge’s decision.

Metropoulos was sentenced to 6-and-a-half years in jail for sex crimes.

He was found guilty of sexual abuse of a minor last year and pled guilty to having sexually explicit images and invasion of privacy.
