Metropolis of San Francisco Moves to Seal Documents in the Rymer Case

According to the San Francisco Superior Court website, today the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco filed an ex parte application for an order shortening time for their notice of a motion to seal documents in the case filed by “John Doe” against the metropolis and the former archimandrite, Michael Rymer. The record also shows that a declaration and a memorandum of points and authorities in support of this motion was filed by the metropolis.

A hearing to approve the settlement of this lawsuit is already on the calendar for September 18, 2008, at 9:00 AM in Department 218. The court’s approval of the compromise of this claim is required because “John Doe” is an adult with a disability.
