The Rev. Gabriel Barrow, pastor of St. John the Theologian Greek Orthodox Church in Webster, will be elevated to archimandrite at 9 a.m. today at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 3511 Yoakum Blvd. Metropolitan Isaiah, archbishop of Denver, will confer the title. An archimandrite is below the rank of bishop and is considered a senior among priests. Bishops are elected from the ranks of archimandrites. A reception will follow the service.
