FAIRFIELD, Calif. (KGO) — A Solano County pastor went free on bail Monday after appearing in court to answer charges that he molested young people in his congregation.

Robert Ruark’s bail totaled $500,000. A judge also ordered him to wear a GPS-monitoring device and stay away from his accusers.

Prosecutors accuse Ruark of targeting both teenage boys and girls at Saint Timothy Orthodox Christian Church in Fairfield. The accusations against Ruark date back to 1994.

Ruark is due back in court on Aug. 23 for his preliminary hearing. He has not entered a plea.
