Metropolitan Kiril Kovachev

Metropolitan Kiril Kovachev was a bishop in the Bulgarian Orthodox Church. He served briefly as interim Patriarch in the beginning of 2013. The hierarch was alleged to have spied for the communists. He also had a taste for luxury cars, and was suspected of carrying out shady deals with church property. Kovachev drowned on July 9, 2013.
