A Question for the Metropolitan of New Jersey

IT IS NOT ONLY Metropolitan Isaiah of Denver who has drawn the attention of the Greek-American Community because of the scandals in his metropolis. Metropolitan Evangelos of New Jersey is also in the public eye, after an anonymous letter was posted on the Internet containing serious allegations against him. As we noted already, we are not reprinting these allegations because they were made anonymously, however, we have asked Metropolitan Evangelos on two occasions up until today (our May and July 2013 editions), as well as through a letter from our publisher, to offer a response or commentary about the accusations being made against him. We never received an answer from him. The Metropolitan apparently does not believe in transparency. He does not understand that he does not possess unlimited authority, including the power to snub the media. Remaining silent because the accusations are anonymous is not a justifiable way of handling the problem. Would His Eminence respond if the anonymous letter included signatures from members of his flock?

Let him at least offer us an answer to this question.
