Update: Father Dean Panagos

According to the website of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, Father Dean Panagos is now the presiding priest at Saint John Greek Orthodox Church in Blue Point, New York. The parish belongs to the Archdiocesan District.

The priest was placed on a three month sabbatical in the fall of 2017 by Metropolitan Methodios Tournas. At the time, Panagos was working at Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Church in New London, Connecticut. That parish is part of the Metropolis of Boston.

According to a media report, Panagos was placed on sabbatical after he was accused of being sexually inappropriate with a deacon.
