Update on Status of St. Isaac of Syria Skete

St. Isaac of Syria Skete in Boscobel, Wisconsin, was removed from the website of the Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Diocese of the USA, Canada and Australia earlier this year. (Read that story here.) However, the monastery website continued to say that group was under the spiritual protection of the Bulgarians, causing confusion as to their status.

The skete’s website has now been updated. All references to their previous diocese have been removed, and no new connections are noted. St. Isaac again appears to be operating without the protection of an Orthodox bishop.
