Update: Father Sasoon Vartabed Zumrookhdian

Father Sasoon Vartabed Zumrookhdian was appointed to lead Saint Geragos Armenian Apostolic Church in Las Vegas earlier this year. The parish belongs to the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church.

The priest had previously been employed at Saint Paul Armenian Church in Fresno, also in the Western Diocese. In 1993 a lawsuit was filed against him, alleging that he had engaged in sexual misconduct with an Armenian woman, Karen King, who was under his pastoral care. The case was resolved on January 13, 1995, with a confidential settlement agreement.
