Boardman pastor sentenced for sexual imposition

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – A pastor from a Boardman church pleaded guilty to one count of sexual imposition.James Callozzo, 73, of the Nativity of Christ Orthodox Church was sentenced on Tuesday to 60 days in jail, but the judge suspended the sentence and placed him on probation for one year.

Callozzo was accused of fondling an 18-year-old man in the rest room of a Boardman restaurant.

The victim tells county sheriff’s investigators that a man followed him into the bathroom of the restaurant and asked him if he could see his private area.

According to reports, the 18-year-old says he forced Callozzo away from him after Callozzo reached in front of him and fondled his genitals.

The victim took a picture of the pastor when he returned to his table, which he gave to detectives.

The judge also fined Callozzo 150 dollars.

Callozzo must also refrain from contacting the victim.
