“Confidential Memorandum” to Holy Cross Community

On July 14, 2012, Pokrov.org received a copy of the “Confidential Memorandum” linked above. A recent article in The National Herald reported that the letter referred to former Holy Cross seminarian John Smyrni.

According to the Herald and the memorandum, Smyrni was expelled from the seminary on April 27th “for an incident of serious misconduct.” The letter from Holy Cross president Father Nicholas Triantafillou was dated June 15, 2012, the same day that the Herald broke the story.
